A book fair is like a feast of ideas for the students. To see such a large variety of books at one place is a brilliant opportunity for students to connect with each other and discover new interests. A book fair is a wonderful experience for a school as it gives an opportunity for the students, the faculty and the parents to be on one platform and share their passion for reading and learning. Books enhance our writing and reading skills, and they augment our knowledge and vocabulary.
At Billabong High International School, Kanpur, we annually organize the Scholastic Book Fair to inculcate reading habits in students. This year the Scholastic Book Fair was held from the 23rd to the 28th of July. The fair presented a wide range of books on different subjects.
Through this book fair we got an opportunity to choose from the heap of novels, short stories, poems, encyclopaedias, cook books and much more. The most thrilling part of the book fair was undoubtedly the lucky draw where children won many exciting prizes.
